Licensing Your Keil MDK Arm Product: A Step-by-Step Guide

Registration and Licensing Requirements

To obtain a license, you must register online using your Computer ID (CID) and Product Serial Number (PSN). The CID is a 10-character alphanumeric value that uniquely identifies your computer and is automatically generated by the µVision IDE. The PSN is a 15-character alphanumeric value that you receive from Keil Software with your product.

Understanding Your License

The license obtained through this process is a 30-character alphanumeric value called the License ID (LIC). This LIC is used to activate your Keil MDK Arm product, and it requires both the CID and PSN to be generated. The PSN is required to license and activate your product.

Product Activation

Without a current license, the product runs in a Lite/Evaluation edition with limited functionality. To activate the full version of the product, you must install a current Product Serial Number (PSN) and obtain a LIC.
